Question regarding teeth implants?

Many years ago I had an accident and had teeth knocked out. I ended up having to get top and lower dentures at 26. My smile has never been the same and my bottom dentures still bother me even after 21 years. My question is, does anyone have any idea how much teeth implants would cost? OR another way to get pretty teeth with nothing to work with.......

Question regarding teeth implants?
Do you have complete dentures or partials? If you have had dentures for 21 years than I doubt that you have enough bone to support an implant. If we don%26#039;t have teeth than the bone actually shrinks because you don%26#039;t need it. You can check with a dentist to see if you have enough bone. Cost can be considerable, usually fifteen to two thousand per implant, which is just the implant itself. You than will have to spend about another thousand for the crown that is placed on top of the implant. So per tooth you are looking at about three grand. For my two implants with the crowns, I paid about five thousand out of pocket, however I got a fifty percent discount on my implants because I am a dental professional. Do a little research on your options.
Reply:you could approach a dental school, but there will likely be some price involved there with implants
Reply:I would go to a dentist that does this type of work and speak to them and if you can, offer to pay in cash.. If you do this, a lot of times they will really give you a deep discount.
Reply:I know exactly how you feel. I have you beat by two years with the dentures. It is no fun! How long have you had yours? I do not think I would be a candidate for implants because of jaw shrinkage. I think that would make a big difference. I think the price has gone down and I hope it is possible for you yet. I have felt like Kermit for so long it doesn%26#039;t make much difference to me anymore. It use to tho.
Reply:They are expensive here in the US, but I know you can get them at below 1/2 the cost in Costa Rica, Check it out.
