Teeth implants?

after you get the surgery what do they put in place of the tooth? i know i have to wait 6 months before i can get my real implants

Teeth implants?
The implant is placed in the bone of the jaw and capped with a %26quot;healing screw%26quot;. This allows the gum tissue to heal in the proper position. After healing, which is shorter than 6 months by the way, the cap is removed, and the implant abutment is screwed into the implant. An impression is taken of the abutment, and a crown can be made to fit on it. If the implant is replacing a front tooth, a temporary denture can be made to wear during the time that the tooth is extracted and continues to be worn after the implant is placed until the abutment is added.
Reply:nothing i believe- i think you have to let your gums heal first!
Reply:they place a metal post into the gum area, and then that must heal for up to 6 months. then they uncover the head of the post and they put a screw-type metal piece into the post with a crown on the end
