Do teeth implants have long term pain?

Although there is always some level of risk associated with any surgical procedure usually there are no major long-lasting negative effects of dental implant surgery. Temporary effects include pain and swelling and inflammation of the gums. The possibility of long-term adverse effects is low, but rarely nerve or sinus injury may occur.

Do teeth implants have long term pain?
Over half of my teeth are permanently crowned and have been for almost two years now. The most pain I have had from them was from the actual procudure itself, then was fine a couple days later. If you are experiencing pain, I would go see the dentist, their could be an underlying problem associated with a faulty proceure.
Reply:No. that is whats good about them. a tooth is replaced by something that has no nerves and cant feel pain.

Can teeth implants cause sleeplessness?

I%26#039;m pretty sure the actual implant is not what is causing your sleeplessness - it is probably the meds from the anesthesia that are causing it. I have to get a tooth implant too, let me know how it goes and I wish you a safe recovery! Best of luck!

Can teeth implants cause sleeplessness?
It is just from the drugs they gave you. Give it some time to wear off and to get back to normal. Also gotta tell me how it went because I have a tooth that needs to have an implant and I am scared to be honest. The last time I was put out was when I was 21 and had my wisdom teeth out.
Reply:Yes, if they are very painful, they can cause sleeplessness

How buch does teeth implants cost, per tooth?

I%26#039;ve been thinking about going for the idea, but I would have to save alot of money.

How buch does teeth implants cost, per tooth?
A whole lot. About 800 to 1200 per tooth. I would recommend that you find a dentist that does it and work out a trade with him. What do you do for a living or what can you do to work off the teeth repair? Clean his pool? Rake his yard? Anything. My sisters fiance did it cause he is a welder and got his completely on trade.
Reply:depends if you have more than one at a time done. the ost of one at least where i live, dallas, is about 1200-1500 a tooth. hope this helps
Reply:a couple grand!!
Reply:mine was 1300 and it took a year to complete the process
Reply:between 1200-4000
Reply:More than an average person can afford. If your thinking about them you might want to think of a plate or dentures instead. They are definately more affordable.
Reply:Anywhere between $800 to $1000 USD in India/

How many implants are you likely to need for 4 missing teeth?

I%26#039;m worried about cost but I think maybe you can have two teeth per implant - does anyone know? I know I could go to get an estimate but am reluctant in case it%26#039;s way too expensive

How many implants are you likely to need for 4 missing teeth?
Well I think it depends where the missing teeth are. Are you missing 4 consecutive teeth, or are they scattered throughout your mouth? If it%26#039;s 4 consecutive teeth missing, you%26#039;ll probably have less implants, whereas it would be hard to tell if you have teeth scattered. You should consult with a dentist about this.
Reply:if you dont get the estimate you will never know
Reply:4?
Reply:Implants are expensive. You may go to student dental clinics for some concession. I know that howard university oral surgery dept, washington dc does an implant that is 1/3 of outside estimate

Reply:No you cannot get two teeth per implant i%26#039;m afraid!! They fit one crown over each implant. They screw in a metal stub like thing into your jaw bone (sorry don%26#039;t know the technical name for it) and then a crown is fitted over the top of this stub! So as others have already said, you will need 4 implants. Implants can vary in price depending on where you go and what part of the country you live. But you are looking in the region of £1000-£2000 per implant!! If you can%26#039;t afford that you may want to consider getting a bridge, or getting a partial denture. They can fix dentures into you mouth permanently nowadays as opposed to having a removable one!! And can look just as good as having implants.

Just to note as well, if you lost your 4 teeth to gum disease (which usually results in a loss of bone too) it may be unlikely you will make a suitable candidate for implants because you need to have bone that is strong enough to hold the implant. With a lack of jaw bone tissue or brittle jaw bone the implant will most likely fail. But obviously tests/examination of the bone tissue in you jaw would have to be carried out to truly determine if your suitable.
Reply:If the missing teeth are adjacent, then a fixed bridge can contain all four teeth and be placed onto two dental implants. http://www.eastbaydentist.com/pages/Impl...

I had two implants placed this last Monday by an oral surgeon. (One upper right, one lower left.) The two implants were $2,975. In 3-4 months, I will go to my dentist for the teeth placement, and that will be approximately $3,000. I experienced absolutely no pain and no swelling. Best of luck to you.

(As for affording the procedure, I used Care Credit, which you can access online. It%26#039;s a healthcare financing plan so patients can afford vision, dental, lasik, and other medical procedures. Many dentists accept Care Credit. You%26#039;ll have to check with yours.)
Reply:I use to be a dental nurse until a year ago, and at that time each implant was £2000! Depending on where the missing teeth are, it is possible for your dentist to doa bridge for you which is a lot less expensive and basically means each tooth either side of the gap is prepped for a crown, but a %26#039;bridge is made%26#039; to carry two teeth inbetween.

Implants are incredibly expenisve, or course there is the option of a denture which is a lot cheaper too, and a plate with just 4 teeth on it wouldnt be as huge as the ones you get with a full set on. Its just a little plate people put in.

I hope that helps, x
Reply:three teeth next to eachother can go on 2 implants, and the other on its own implant.

, thats 3 implants(root part) and 4 crowns(teeth part)

i would charge about $9800 total!
Reply:It would depend on the area of your mouth, the type of bite(occlusion), the type and amount of bone available in that area. 3 Teeth for 2 implants is no problem. 4 Teeth for 2 implants should be OK. Try to evaluate by yourself as to the amount of bone you have lost after the extractions. Do you have any parafunctional habits like grinding your teeth(buxism) etc.?

Good Luck

Feel free to contact me regarding any dental concerns you may have.
Reply:Are the missing teeth all together or are they separate with teeth in between. If together, I should think one partial denture or bridge. Only way to find out for sure is to ask the dentist.

Implants on teeth?

I have nuropathy, I need help in finding out if I have two implants put in to hold my dental plate in. Wil it make my nuropathy worse or is there any chance of them not healing right. I had all my teeth out about one year ago. I%26#039;m ready to get started with getting false teeth now. Botton does not have enough there to hold a plate. Thank you if you can help.

Implants on teeth?
WELL I DOUBT IT WILL MAKE IT WORSE BUT NONETHELESS YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO GET THIS ASSESSED BY THE IMPLANTOLOGIST.
Reply:The only person qualified to answer this is the person that is going to perform this procedure since they not only know what is involved in your particular case but will have your medical history to review as well, both things we don%26#039;t have here.

How possible, if at all and how expensive would getting ALL new teeth implants be.?

my teeth are screwed all to hizzy because of a lot of things but im planning on being a businessman someday so I may need a nice smile. Maybe you know what options I have

How possible, if at all and how expensive would getting ALL new teeth implants be.?
My sister got teeth implants here in CA and it cost a little under $3000 each. But prices varies and depends on where you are. Another option is veneers or Lumineers. I have both and had great results. Or braces. Best to see your doctor and they can give you more personalized options. Good luck!
Reply:I don%26#039;t know about the price. But look into getting %26#039;caps%26#039;, they aren%26#039;t implants but instead are applied over the existing tooth. They can also now add ceramic to your teeth to give them a square look.

What are the cons/negatives for getting teeth implants?

%26amp; will implants hurt your gums and cause a lose-ness feeling in a long term effect?

What are the cons/negatives for getting teeth implants?
Dental implants are the closest replacement for missing teeth. A dental implant is a titanium screw that is surgically placed within your jaw bone following an extraction or in an area where a tooth is missing. When a tooth is removed, over time, the bone begins to resorb three-dimensionally. Over time the bone resorbs both in height and width, making it more difficult for implants to be placed later on in life. This becomes particullary difficult in the posterior lower jaw (because there is a nerve - called the Inferior Alveolar Nerve - that runs through the jaw) and in the posterior upper jaw (because of the proximity to your sinuses) When the bone resorbs, there becomes less bone available over these critical structures, for implant placement.

As for whether they will hurt your gums and bone, the answer is NO. Placing implants will actually help to prevent this resorptive process. Your bone actually fuses to the implant through a process called Osseointegration. They only get loose if they fail (and the average success rate for implants is between 95 and 98%) Teeth get loose because they are surrounded by a ligament which has some flexibility, implants do not have these ligaments, they are fused directly to the bone.

There are risks to getting implants because it is a surgical procedure, but your dentist can best explain these to you based on which location they are planned for. Make sure that you have them placed by a well trained professional.

Costs can range greatly for implant placement, from around $750 to over $2000, depending on who or where you have them done. However, there will be an additional fee for the crown and abutment (post) that will need to be placed on top of the implant.
Reply:Implants are best if you need to replace missing teeth. They are very expensive. Money well spent in the long run. If you are missing a tooth and don%26#039;t put in an implant the bone goes away. That is why often older people that have lost teeth have caved in looking faces. I have 4 implants and am getting a 5th. The tooth loss had nothing to do with poor dental habits
Reply:I wish I could afford tooth implants. My osteoporosis is eating my teeth away slowly. I have had two break off at the gum line, and two more are ready to go at any time. The cost where I live is $2000 each, and this is the cheapest price.

Implanting teeth actually helps to keep your bones and gums healthy. And it prevents your other teeth from loosening, because they are prevented from shifting out of position.

If you also have a receding bone problem like mine, they can rebuild the bone up with a bone substitute so your gums don%26#039;t recede from your teeth, further loosening them.

Getting the implant as soon after the extraction as possible is the very best thing you can do for your mouth.
Reply:well the price, and is going to be uncomfortable for a couple of days but you will be fine, your are not going experience lose - ness feeling.

Plus is the best treatment when you want to replace your teeth, it lasts way longer than other procedures.
Reply:I have implants and it doesn%26#039;t hurt your gums or cause a looseness because the implant is imbedded into the jaw bone. It bonds so tightly to the bone the implant cannot move at all. Natural teeth have a give when biting into something where a crown on a implant will not have the same %26quot;give%26quot; But it is a wonderful alternative to missing teeth but if you can save your natural teeth there is no comparison to the feel of ones natural teeth.

Can the metal used in teeth implants cause dangerous side affects?

My friend has experienced pain and swelling in the joints of her body since her implants and wonders if this could be related.

Can the metal used in teeth implants cause dangerous side affects?
Pure titanium is completely inert when placed in the human body.. Nothing in the human body can chemically react with it. A pure titanium implant that has been properly sterilized and surface-treated should not cause any reactions at all.

Some companies do make alloy implants that are composed of more than 1 metal which might cause problems.. Your friend might want to find out what kind of implants she got.
Reply:i dont think so, that is strange. Normally the body doesn%26#039;t %26quot;reject%26quot; metal (my husband%26#039;s got a back full of titanium!). This is kind of a doctor question they probably need to see if there%26#039;s a cause from implants or just coincidence that arthritis is beginning to rear its ugly head.
Reply:She may be allergic to the metal in her implants. I would have her contact her dentist, and tell the dr. the side effects she has been having, she may need to have them replaced.
Reply:there should be no problems with side effect to metals in implants, fillings, braces, or anything going into your mouth as long as you let you dentist know of any known metal allergies for that matter ALL allergies. Most implant metal is titanium which is suppose to be hypo-allergenic. If they is any pain or irritation to your mouth with any dental appliances that your dentist didn%26#039;t tell you to expect you should contact him or her as soon as possible.

as a thought to your friends case they need to contact there doctor or dentist it could just be pain from the bones having something %26quot;traumatic%26quot; done to them ( it will affect the whole body even if it was done it the mouth to an extent) but there very well could be a more serious issue like an infection that could be bring on these symptoms

How about teeth implants?

am wondering whether a bridge or implant, based on experience which one is better..do implants hurt through the years and do they hurt if is cold or hot???

How about teeth implants?
I have a retainer attached to the bone, with the tooth attached to that. The procedure is expensive but worth every dime. As far feeling, who cares.
Reply:implants doesn%26#039;t hurt. Logically. in a false tooth are no nerves. I think. I%26#039;m not a pro
Reply:I have implants and love them. I think outside of having your own permanent teeth (which is the best of course) implants are wonderful. I have 8 implants on top and 6 on the bottom that holds a whole piece bridge unit that screws onto the implants.

No pain the implants mimic roots of our teeth. Bonds to the bone. I have no problems with cold or hot foods if that what you are asking. Cold weather doesn%26#039;t bother me but sinus infections do. I ache in my cheeks a bit more than before but tylenol takes care of it. But I have real issues with my sinuses so this may not be an issue with everyone.

Dental Implants -final restoration just went in on teeth 7/8 on Tuesday. Last year, 9/10 were done. Help.?

I just had the final restoration of implants put in on 7/8 on Tuesday. They don%26#039;t feel like teeth 9/10 did. Not sure if they are too close or what. Tooth 6 feels like it%26#039;s getting in the way, it feels like it moves towards the implant tooth or something. When the dentist put them in on Tuesday, I had pain in the morning, not sure if I was bruised or something. Felt like a pain when you get a bruise. My gum/bone hurt. Is this normal? I haven%26#039;t taken a direct bit into anything yet. When I bite into something very very soft, like soft breard, I hear a crackling sound or something like a rubbing sound somewhere. Is this right? Teeth 8/9 are close and very tight together when I floss too. Was told it%26#039;s best to have them nice and tight. Will this settle? Will the space relax for me? Don%26#039;t want to loose these as I%26#039;ve gone through 2 years with no front teeth already. Please help with advice. Thanks.

Dental Implants -final restoration just went in on teeth 7/8 on Tuesday. Last year, 9/10 were done. Help.?
I have been a dental assistant for about 8 years and this is my take on it. I do agree that the teeth should be fairly tight together. There is nothing more annoying in the world than constantly packing whatever you eat in between your teeth. I don%26#039;t understand why these restorations should feel different than the first ones or uncomfortable. That does not sound normal to me. Sometimes there can be issues with the restoration impinging (pinching) on the tissue underneath it. That could cause the pressure and soreness feelings. I would question it at the office that placed them. The implant should be integrated rather well with the bone at this point if the restoration was placed, so the bone/gum shoudn%26#039;t hurt. Unless there is impinging on the tissue, which means the restoration doesn%26#039;t fit properly. Good luck, call the office and question it. Let them know it doesn%26#039;t feel like the others did.
Reply:Dental implants do not have a periodontal ligament and as such, orthodontic movement is non-existent. The space can only %26quot;relax%26quot; if there is some movement to allow it to happen. The implants are not going to move, the inner posts/cores may flex and you may be feeling the flexing.

You may want the dentist to %26quot;slacken%26quot; them slightly for you.

Communication with your dentist, explaining your symptoms is a start.
Reply:It could be the bite is too high on the new implants, this could cause some tenderness. Have it checked out. Also, the implant could have loosened and could shift. Those things happen sometimes, probably an easy fix, and yes, you want as tight a contact as possible so food doesn%26#039;t trap as easily.

Implants teeth?

I am young. I have bad bad teeth I know what I did so plz dont just be mean to me. I want to fix it now. And I need implants. I dont want dentures. I seen lots of people who dont even have bad teeth get their teeth pulled and new white ones put in. I want that but cheep and a very nice compassionite dentist. Not one who is mean. I always end up with a mean dentist. And that is why Im too scared to go back. And I really want to smile agean. Im getting married and I want to have teeth. That are pretty. And I was hoping to get them by this summer. I dont have insurence or anything. My parents wont do it but My Fience will. Im 17. Im 18 in Aug. I need a dentist in Southern CA

Implants teeth?
HELLO,

YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT NO DENTAL INSURANCE PAYS FOR IMPLANTS WHICH ARE GENERALLY ABOUT 3,500 WITH THE CROWN PER TOOTH.

THIS TURN OUT TO BE ABOUT THE COST OF A FANCY CAR WHEN ALL IS DONE AND WILL NOT HAPPEN QUICKLY.

YOU MAY WANT A DENTIST WHO DOES %26quot;SNAP-ON-SMILE%26quot; WHICH IS FANTASTIC FOR SPEED AND RELATIVE COST.
Reply:oh honey. implants are very expensive. like the dentist above said, they can be anywhere from 2 to 4K per tooth. and pulling teeth is painful too. also, when you have a tooth removed, and want to have an implant, any respectibe oral surgeon will want to wait at least six months to let the jaw bone heal beofre putting in the post for the artificial tooth implant.

go to a dentist and find one that is compassionate by asking around your area --%26gt;locally! this is an international board and we don%26#039;t all live in your area, and don%26#039;t know the dentists in your area. have you tried ............ www.Yelp.com ?

btw:

Is there anychance you could get veneers? maybe your teeth aren%26#039;t as bad as you think, maybe they are just stained? maybe you can try whitening them first?

good luck!
Reply:I just had an implant put in. The surgeon said that because it%26#039;s a molar, I%26#039;ll have to wait about 4 months before the crown can be put on. He also said that if it had been a front tooth, he would have put the implant in and then put a temporary crown on there for cosmetic purposes and then put the permanent crown on later, once it%26#039;s all healed up. Maybe you could get that? It%26#039;s expensive though - $3,000 to $5,000 for one implant. You%26#039;re only 17, so in your case it%26#039;d be well worth the cost in self-esteem value alone! If you can afford it, do it. It%26#039;ll be worth it just to be able to smile again.

Just had dental implants done on teeth 7/8 in May.?

Can anyone in the dental field help. I just had my implants teeth put in on teeth 7/8 in May. I had the surgery in January for the bone graft and finished the teeth in May. When the dentist put the teeth in, the next day I had pain all across my upper mouth, it hurt to the touch on the other teeth and hurt to bite on that side for about 2 weeks. Now, the area feels like my gums are still healing and pulling or something. Every now and then I get a pinch feeling and tooth #6 feels likes it%26#039;s sensitive to hot/cold at times, but there%26#039;s no pain in it. The gums hurt whenever I eat and the area on the implants are sensitive to food at times too. For a while, I was able to eat OK and bite into soft foods, but now the gums are sensitive. What is causing this and should I be concerned? Teeth 9/10 were implanted last year and I don%26#039;t remember going through this. They had a bit of discomfort for a while but nothing like teeth 7/8. I feel like I live at the dental office anymore. Help.

Just had dental implants done on teeth 7/8 in May.?
It definitely sounds like you have trapped something that shouldn%26#039;t be there. Something very small can cause a big problem. I bet your dentist can fix it very easily and you will be comfortable. He is going to have to check out #6 also. But I bet it is a result of the same little thing. Now that your contours are more normal it is harder to get something in the wrong place.
Reply:For what implants and bone grafting costs, I would call your DDS or surgeon that did the implants ASAP. I worked for an oral surgeon for 9 yrs and never had a patient experience anything like you are describing.

Good luck!!
Reply:Call and speak to the dentist office. Tell them of your complaint. They should redo you for free because you had already paid for what you had done, but it probably wasn%26#039;t done right or needs to be redone. I work in an office similar to this and seen and talked to people who had problems like this and they came back and the doctor did it for free. I know it sucks to keep going back and fourth to the office, but if you don%26#039;t get it fixed asap, the problem will persist and eventually get worst.
Reply:Call the dentist that did the implant surgery. By now you should not be experiencing any pain.

I had two teeth implants a few years ago, I believe they are abscessed.?

I have all the symptoms for an abscessed tooth around both implants. Normally, the dentist performs a root canal to preserve the tooth. How do they treat this?

I had two teeth implants a few years ago, I believe they are abscessed.?
Most of the time, there is no treatment and the implants have to be removed. GET TO YOUR DENTIST before it gets this bad.
Reply:you will have to go to the dentist and ask.
Reply:i dont have any idea about that but the only things that you can do and i advice this to you is to go and see your dentist again or find a new dentist that can solve your problem, they know more better than any.
Reply:IMPLANTS HAVE TO HAVE EXTRA CARE IN KEEPING THEM CLEAN. DEFINITELY VISIT THE DENTIST TO DID THE IMPLANTS OR SEE A PERIODONTIST. THEY MAY DO SCALING OR SURGICAL TREATMENT.
Reply:why ask that here ,go talk to a dentist

I'm 22 and I still have 2 baby teeth...Implants? or a Bridge?

Ok, so both of my K-9%26#039;s are baby teeth. I went to the dentist and he told me that my perminents were impacted in my gums and that they were coming down horizontally and would eventually knock out all of my front teeth. Needless to say, I had them removed when they went in for my wisdom teeth. I know my options are implants or a bridge, but what is the better option? Bridges kinda freak me out, but if I go with an implant, I will have to do a bone graft. I need some advice from anyone who has been there,.... I am getting married December of 09%26#039; and I want to have a beautiful smile in my wedding pictures!

I%26#039;m 22 and I still have 2 baby teeth...Implants? or a Bridge?
bridges are less painful, and there is no recovery time.
Reply:Implants would look best. If you are going to get a bridge you would probably need to have the crowns of the bridge extend to all front teeth, in order for it too look the best, which will add greatly to the cost of the bridge. I would recommend the implants, they look great and last well as long as you take care of them and keep them cleaned regularly by professionals. The graft is a good thing, this helps insure that it will not interfere with your sinuses and that it will last.
Reply:Both are good restorations. The implant is the best option, because it is more like a natural tooth. A bridge can be difficult to clean around, you have to use special flossing techniques. It may be fine, if you are disciplined. An implant will also look better. Even the best bridge looks like a bridge to the trained eye. If I had the two options, and could afford the implants, I would definitely choose the implants.
Reply:Implants are definitely the best way to go as far as long term. Also, you do not have to damage the surrounding teeth! You should go have a consultation regarding the implant process and costs. Implants are a lengthy process, even more if you need to have the bone graft but the results are fantastic. Make sure to weigh all pros and cons before you make your decision good luck!

I am getting teeth implants in a few months...?

I was just wondering, to those of you who have gotten teeth implants...is there a lot of pain involved? I%26#039;m really worried about this.

After getting them, could you eat solid food right away, or do you have to wait a while to do so?

Also, if I understand correctly, they place the metal rod into the jaw bone, and then wait a couple months for it to fuse to the bone, and then put the tooth on top. During this wait, will there just be a metal pole sticking out of my gums? I%26#039;m worried about that too...

I am getting teeth implants in a few months...?
Not to worry. wont hurt as much as you think. follow all instructions and let them know how your doing if you think anything afterwards is unusual.they will advise you about eating, it will be in your postoperative instructions. again dont worry so much, think about the beautiful natural looking tooth you will have in the end.

Question regarding teeth implants?

Many years ago I had an accident and had teeth knocked out. I ended up having to get top and lower dentures at 26. My smile has never been the same and my bottom dentures still bother me even after 21 years. My question is, does anyone have any idea how much teeth implants would cost? OR another way to get pretty teeth with nothing to work with.......

Question regarding teeth implants?
Do you have complete dentures or partials? If you have had dentures for 21 years than I doubt that you have enough bone to support an implant. If we don%26#039;t have teeth than the bone actually shrinks because you don%26#039;t need it. You can check with a dentist to see if you have enough bone. Cost can be considerable, usually fifteen to two thousand per implant, which is just the implant itself. You than will have to spend about another thousand for the crown that is placed on top of the implant. So per tooth you are looking at about three grand. For my two implants with the crowns, I paid about five thousand out of pocket, however I got a fifty percent discount on my implants because I am a dental professional. Do a little research on your options.
Reply:you could approach a dental school, but there will likely be some price involved there with implants
Reply:I would go to a dentist that does this type of work and speak to them and if you can, offer to pay in cash.. If you do this, a lot of times they will really give you a deep discount.
Reply:I know exactly how you feel. I have you beat by two years with the dentures. It is no fun! How long have you had yours? I do not think I would be a candidate for implants because of jaw shrinkage. I think that would make a big difference. I think the price has gone down and I hope it is possible for you yet. I have felt like Kermit for so long it doesn%26#039;t make much difference to me anymore. It use to tho.
Reply:They are expensive here in the US, but I know you can get them at below 1/2 the cost in Costa Rica, Check it out.

Dental schools in Canada for teeth implants?

Can teeth implants to the lower jaw result in loss of taste and numbness to the tongue? What are the chances?

Teeth implants come with some risks due to the process of drilling into the jawbone to anchor the added teeth. One doctor has told me that there is a serious risk associated with having implants made to the lower jaw due to the complexity of the nerves there. Results could be loss of taste, permanent numbness of the tongue. How risky is this?

Can teeth implants to the lower jaw result in loss of taste and numbness to the tongue? What are the chances?
Chances are extremely slim. If implants are carried out by reputable surgeon success rate should be above 90%. Numbness of tongue can only result from damage to the lingual nerve, which should not be in the immediate vicinity of a lower jaw implant. Taste will have no change.

The only nerve at risk is the inferior dental nerve which supplies the lower teeth and lip with sensation. So long as implants are properly measured and placed risk should be minimal. Shop around for good surgeon
Reply:never heard of that before taste buds are in tongue

Teeth Implants?

Teeth Implants?
They won%26#039;t look as great as the final ones, but they do the best they can to make them look like real teeth for the short duration you have them on. This link describes things pretty well.

Teeth Implants?

I%26#039;m so self conscious,i%26#039;m 14 years old.At 6 i was sooo cute. Starting at age 7,my teeth just start growning so disordelry,i have one big tooth crossing across my middle tooth. Wich really makes it unacceptable.Nowerdays i%26#039;m really overlooked because my teeth. I always have loose teeth every since 10 every yeat that take 6 months to fall out and i can move it back and forth with my tooth even though its still tight. Some girls seen over it,some haven%26#039;t,some of the best have turned me down because my teeth, they didn%26#039;t have to say it,i knew. I%26#039;ve had people do everything over the years to tease me,at that friends. Some curl their wrist and put their hand in front their mouth and make it talk. Once two idiots put gum i gave them at that over their teeth to bother me. I%26#039;m not one of these crazy people though,i%26#039;m still a confident person,i learned to cope with it and ignore ignorance wich made some of it stop. But,i got a future of stardom in store and i can%26#039;t go on T.V. or release a cd.....

Teeth Implants?
Implants are very expensive around £2000 or $4000 per tooth!! and you really dont want to take out your teeth for the sake of appearance dentures are a big no no as some people just cant get used to them, you never know u may be one of them, I sujjest going to a private dentist and asking about:

* extraction of teeth and bridges

* Veneers

Hope one of these help! Good luck!

Teeth implants?

after you get the surgery what do they put in place of the tooth? i know i have to wait 6 months before i can get my real implants

Teeth implants?
The implant is placed in the bone of the jaw and capped with a %26quot;healing screw%26quot;. This allows the gum tissue to heal in the proper position. After healing, which is shorter than 6 months by the way, the cap is removed, and the implant abutment is screwed into the implant. An impression is taken of the abutment, and a crown can be made to fit on it. If the implant is replacing a front tooth, a temporary denture can be made to wear during the time that the tooth is extracted and continues to be worn after the implant is placed until the abutment is added.
Reply:nothing i believe- i think you have to let your gums heal first!
Reply:they place a metal post into the gum area, and then that must heal for up to 6 months. then they uncover the head of the post and they put a screw-type metal piece into the post with a crown on the end

Teeth implants?

how much does does it cost for teeth implants, but only for the top teeth

Teeth implants?
Cost depends on if you get this done by a general dentist or a specialist. A general dentist usually does not charge more than the specialist.

Cost is also determined by location. Is it done in some remote area or in Beverly Hills?

Also it depends on the type of crown or restoration on the implant. Will it be an implant supported crown or will there be multiple attachments like bridgework and dentures?

Some insurances do pay for implants. It is starting to be the gold standard for single tooth replacement over bridges.

If you are looking for something inexpensive, try a local dental school.
Reply:Got Insurance??
Reply:around $15,000-$25,000 for full uppers.

Most insurances do not cover implants, they are considered to be and aesthetic surgery

Teeth implants?!?!?
I%26#039;ve got one. They will put you to sleep for the proceedure(s).

Sometimes they do a bone graft first and let that heal a few months before the implant. When they put the implant in they will put a metal button on it and let it heal a few months before you are ready for the crown. In the meanwhile, you will wear a %26quot;flipper%26quot; or cosmetic denture to cover the space. You will have to remove that to eat.

Once the crowns are in, you won%26#039;t notice any difference from real teeth. You will forget they are there. If you smoke or have poor dental hygene they can become infected and have to be removed.
