Cavities, Implants and Braces?

If I have cavities, should I get them fixed before or after braces? The same goes for tooth implants to fill the gap of an extracted tooth. Should I get an implant before or after braces?

Cavities, Implants and Braces?
Definitely get any cavities restored before placing braces. It'll only get deeper and eventually cause an abscess. You have to wait for the implant until after the ortho is finished. You can not put pressure on an implant. The orthodontist will hold the space an implant would need or it may possibly not need an implant after the ortho is complete. Get a consult and see what can be done.....in other words how much movement can be expected with the braces.
Reply:It's a personal choice but I would recommend getting the cavities and the implant done prior to getting braces.
Reply:Get them fixed before braces, the decay might turn into a bacteria infection and then you might have to get a root canal.
