I am getting my front tooth replaced with an artificial tooth. My question is if dental implants ever change colour. If I smoke cigarette, and drink tea, coffee and red wine, do aritificial teeth get yellower?

Reply:The crown of the implant is porcelain. Porcelain CAN stain. Just look at the stains in gas station toilets if you don't believe me.
To keep your implant looking new, use a quality toothpaste at least 2X/day, every day. Your hygienist will recommend a product that fits your lifestyle. You will also need to floss your implant every day to avoid stains and yellow tartar from building up in between your teeth. Have your hygienist show you how to floss your implant.
