I have been quoted £2000. to have 1 tooth implant is this a reasnoble price or would it be cheaper to go abroad
Tooth implants?
I'm a dental nurse and would always advise to have any major dental treatment at home,as if you have any adverse problems you may end up paying more in the long run on travelling back and forth.also look into if you can claim tax relief at the end of the year.maybe might be worth your while then
Reply:if you can prove that it is causing you mental anxiety the nhs will do it for free!!!
Reply:I have an implant that cost $1795 USD. Sorry don't know the conversion rate.
Reply:Cheaper to go abroad and have a holiday at the same time.
Reply:I was quoted £1800 a couple of months ago in the UK so that is reasonable, so maybe you could go to Poland
Reply:I believe you can have the implant for less. Mind you, there
are several ways to implant and costs differ from each one.
I would say that you get this done for £1.000.
Reply:Sounds right.
It would be cheaper to go abrod to have them done, but consider the following.
Your airfare, accomodation.
Mainly, your aftercare. Implants can fail, would you have to go abroad again? Or pay someone here. It is possible to place an immediate implant, but the procedure is best done over a course of several months.
If the cost is an issue most practices have dental plans and some do loads to spread the cost.
What ever you decide I hope it goes well.
Reply:My mother spent 2400 euros (about £1,600) and she had it done in Italy. Her dentist's always done a great job and compared to other dentists I noticed he's pretty fair on how much he charges. Not too expensive, that is.
But then again, even if you decide to have it done abroad you need to consider all the money you'll be spending for flight and accomodation..

This looks really cheap!!
Reply:I am a Dental-nurse and strongly agree with the answer of my colleague. You can Implants cheaper abroad, but you need aftercare and this is not included in work done abroad. 2000£ is a reasonable price, if it includes all procedures and material
Reply:no nhs will not do implants for free as we have no money at the moment for treatment like this all you would get off the nhs is a denture.the goverment has cut the funding for nhs dental work in and outside the hospital.the price you have been quoted is about the average but make sure it includes the cost of the crown and that the dentist has a sterlie surgery for this treatment, also if you smoke the implant will have a greater chance of failing
Reply:you can have one fixture and abutment and one unit prosthesis for about 1200$ at prosthodontics office and 600$ at dental colleges in IRAN.
Reply:It may not be worth the risk and trouble going abroad for just one implant, though cost wise it may look to be lot cheaper at around $950 plus $300 for crown. If you still have to consider traveling on cost considerations for 2 or more, choose a dentist who is US or Europe trained with practice in India or elsewhere. Have your luck with a fine website www.dentalcare-indiatour.com
Reply:Yes that is a reasonable price for a tooth implant usually dentist charge about $2,500 for one tooth implant and crown it's $2,000 for the implant and $500 for the crown does your quote include the crown because if does you definitely have a very good quote for that implant I know the prices because I have work with a lot dentist and that is what all of them charge for a tooth implant with the crown.
Reply:I was just disgusing this today with someone and they told me they looked on the web and the average price for tooth implants is 1500 per tooth in the uk
