My teeth are all bad. I'm to young for dentures. But i can't afford implants?

Hey i had bad teeth too at 25. Hereditary but still bad teeth. I'd rather have my dentures now than a crooked, cracked tooth lookin snaggle tooth smile anyday.

Reply:u should have managed early other wise this problem will come any way ask ur dentist weather ur tooth for root canal treatment if it possible u can save some of ur teeth and go for bridge work if all teeth has destroyed much no other way only denture or implant
Reply:Discuss the pros and cons with a dentist. Implants are VERY expensive, so if you cannot afford them, you probably have little option other than dentures. I am sure that the quality of dentures has improved remarkably over the years. There are pros and cons for both dentures and implants. If your teeth are bad then you need to do something to prevent the pain and discomfort and also to prevent the decay spreading to all your teeth. I have many crowns (as opposed to implants) and often wish that I had opted for dentures. With a crown or porcelain veneer, you still have a (usually dead, i.e. nerve removed) portion of your tooth and this is still subject to decay. So having a crown does not elimante future pain and suffering or the need for future dentistry. With an implant, you normally have no tooth at all and a titanium post is wired into your jaw to support the tooth. Dentures are often (always nowadays?) supported in this manner.

try to call around to a few dentist and see what they can do for you..you may have a couple worth saving and they can do bridge work(crowns that are connected together and anchored to a tooth on each side).many can work out a treatment plan with you ,where you pay a certain amount each month til you can pay them off.


Try your local hospital also...some have dental programs for people in your situation...keep trying as many as you can til you get some help with it.There are some states that have dental clinics with sliding scale fees (%of cost determined by your income).


A couple of friends of mine called around to some churches once they got a treatment plan done.They ended up getting a bit of help from 3-4 of them...and got the work done.


you may just need to have alot of fillings and a couple of crowns...you can only know for sure if you see at least one dentist for an oral exam %26amp; xrays.Make sure you explain on the phone %26amp; to the dentist your finacial situation and desire to have a healthy mouth...a caring dentist knows how important a healthy mouth is for the whole body.It make take alot of calls..but it is worth it to have them fixed so you can feel better health wise....


Don't think because they are all bad that they have to have implants done.Those are very expensive %26amp; painful for a longtime.


I saw people as young as 18 with dentures...due to a family history of weak teeth and some due to neglect or too much sugar.You couldn't tell they had thm until they took them out..BTW: you still need to brush dentures and clean your gums too...a damp wash cloth helps with the gums.
Reply:some teeh are just plain gentically bad. but there is hope. try asking about alternatives and seen if your dentist offers payment plans and other insurance choices. some really do have a way to help you out.
