I had anerexia for 8 years and subsequently my teeth are in real bad shape due to the acid in my vomit?

how do i get them sorted?ideally they all need removing and i need tooth implants this would cost an absoulute fortune,it realy gets me down and im loosing my outgoing personality,help!!!

i have the same problem, i went on the internet and got a plan that is called the national discount plan and it really helps with cutting costs, hope this helps you as much as it has helped me.
Reply:Ugh, I'm sorry about your situation. There are companies out there that actually finance dental work. I'm not a big fan of the concept most of the time---The interest rate isn't ideal---But if it's important to you, it's something to look into.

Reply:dont really know... but insurance should cover it since its a disease, or... get a job with a company that offers dental insurance... and destroy it
Reply:Well to start with I hope that you are over the anorexia,and if you are good going!!And if not please don't worry about your teeth get some help for the issue that started this,, There are a lot of dentists out there that have payment plans ,,possibly your medical insurance would cover it due to the fact that it was cause by a medical condition check all possibility's,, maybe a family member could help you pay for it,,,, Good Luck
Reply:Most dental insurance will not cover anything they consider cosmetic. In my area I would go to the local dental college and have the students work on my teeth (we have a great one here in southern cal).
Reply:I don't know how old you are, but, if you had this diease for (8) years, I am assuming that the self induced vomiting is in the past. (i hope that i am correct). In any event there really isn't anything that can be done, except the implants. Prehaps, if you went to a dental school as a individual that the furture dentists could do their work on - that you could save some, dough-ray-me. Try not getting down toots, remember: for every problem there is a solution. Hope that helps!
Reply:First it depends on the state of you teeth. Implant is never and ideal situation and it's only good for a few teeth. Or when somebody suffers and accident for example. First you should go for a very intensive fluor (fluoride) treatment. But you have to go to a doctor for that anyway. He/she will give you this very strong fluor to use for a month or so. Then you can have a prognosis of what's the best to do. Probably a combination of several treatments but should never be only one (don't go only for implants or only for porcelain veneers etc). In your case you should be patient. That's when you will get the best results.
Reply:If your teeth decayed from acid in regurgitation, you were bulemic, not anorexic, that is not the point though. Did you see a Dentist yet?? Sometimes teeth can be fixed. Implants would cost more than root canals, crowns and fixed bridges. It is best to save your teeth if possible. SOme of the finance companies who will give you credit for dental tx. do a 12 month no interest/no fee plan. See a dentist, get a treatment plan, discuss payment options. Be honest about what you want and can afford, sometimes there is more hope than you think.
