Implantology is a separate learned skill, additional to dentistry.

A student would not be permitted, able or have sufficient experience to carry out this procedure.

Its not just the implanting of screws and then abuttments, the minute measurements MUST be perfectly correct, or a fractional difference in implant height, invisible to the eye, will negatively affect your bite, leading to other problems.

If these teeth are back teeth you can function and look fine with a bridge, providing you have sound neighbouring teeth.

If they are front teeth a bridge is possible but admittedly implants would look better.

They're the facts I'm afraid.I hope you can work something out.

Occasionally dental work is partially covered by health insurance though they are extremely slow to help out (as usual) especially if they deem it elective surgery.

You can also reclaim some money on tax.

Perhaps you could get a loan or even organise installment payment with your dentist if s/he will go for it.

But if they're back teeth a bridge would not be noticed

Reply:When dealing with implants you want somebody with lots of experience and practice.

They are time consuming and expensive but since they last a lifetime they're worth the hassle and price.

I'm not familiar with British dentistry except the jokes but you can usually finance the procedures and stretch it out over time.

The implants need to be placed so the bone will grow around the implants then the crowns need to be made and attached to the implants. Under optimium conditions this usually takes about 6-8 months. If the missing teeth are visible sometimes you can wear a temporary flapper for when you go out.
Reply:The road to reaching dental school is neither straight nor quick. You are looking at an expense of £5000+ for two implants and crowns going private. But nearly one third of this amount and two visits you can get the treatment done and also enjoy tourism in countries like Dubai, Thailand, Singapore, India, etc. The other cheaper option needing single visit would be dental bridge (£500). The downside of the latter is that your two adjecent healthy teeth are shaved for support. Look for your options like dental care and dubai tour or elsewhere.
Reply:i would be interested to know which teeth you have had removed as there may be other options than just implants!
