Is a gap right in the middle of your two front teeth ugly or unique?

I have a gap in between my two front teeth. It's not huge, but noticeable if you look closely. I'd say medium. I've been seriously thinking about veneers or teeth implants, but I wouldn't want my two front teeth to look like a rabbit or something. Sometimes teeth implants or bonds look really screwed up. Do you all like gaps or are y'all just unaffected by them? Tell me if you think they're extremely ugly or something.

I had a small gap growing up and it bugged the hell out of me. When I would smile, I'd cover my mouth or I'd do the closed mouth smile. I got braces to fix the gap and now that the gap is gone, I still to this day cover my mouth when I smile. Granted I love my new smile, when I look back on it, there was nothing wrong with my gap and I should not have wasted $2,000 to get rid of it. Lately I've seem tons of models with gaps smiling brightly and their gaps are 10 times as wide as mine was. Leave your teeth alone. Just smile brightly and you'll be just fine.

Reply:people (particularly women) worry far more than they need to about the inane things that really don't change the opinions of anyone worth being around. This is one of those things.

Reply:What you have is called diastima. Your best choice would be venners, they look awesome and they would shave the front of your 2 front teeth and place the veneers. Implants are very expensive and are for people who are missing teeth or have really bad teeth.

Reply:i have a small gap that you realy have to look at my teeth to notic.if you have a mid gap dont be to concerned.its fine .if and if you had a rather large gap than i would get it fixed.my friend has a big gap and i tell her it could hurt her other teeth causes shes still growing.so shes getting that fixed but if its not that noticable dont wary about it.please. your fine.
Reply:If you saw what they have to do to your teeth to put on the veneer, bonding or any cosmetic cover, you would just leave your gap alone. I don't think the gap in Madonna or Lauren Hutton's teeth affected them any. You shouldn't care whether we like gaps or whatever. Your opinion of yourself is the only one that should matter to you. Unless you are just incredibly unhappy or self conscience about your teeth, leave the gap alone. It's yours, it sets you apart from anyone else.
Reply:I have that too. Self conscience? Yes. But now, when I think about it, I'd much rather have a pretty smile than worry about how my teeth looked. but can't smile naturally because I avoided smiling ever since I was teenager. So I hope you keep right on smiling and worry less about the teeth.
Reply:I have a gap between my front teeth. Honestly I hate it. I went to this awesome new dentist who is going to fix it for me, and tell my insurance that it was "needed" because I have "decay". I dont, but hes just doing me the favor, so my insurance will cover it. I'm really excited. I REALLY notice it when other people have messed up teeth. I know that sounds horrible, but I think I notice it because my own are so messed up, and I fixate on it or something. I've never had a rude comment about my teeth, but I cant help but wonder how much other people notice it, just like you. All I want is to be able to smile like a normal person without immediately wanting to close my mouth in shame. But my teeth have an overbite AND a gap, so not only is it strange looking, but it makes my mouth structure uncomfortable. A little gap, really no big deal, consider yourself lucky. If you want to get it fixed, go for it, if not, I'm sure you are beautiful just the way you are and that people hardly notice. Good luck.
Reply:I have a gap, too, but it won't be forever: when I'll take my brace off, there won't be anymore. Although it is visible, I quite like it, but I don't think I'll miss it.
