Tooth Implants?!?!?

I lost one of my bottom molars, and I am thinking about getting an implant in it's place.

Can someone give me some information on

what the process is?

how long is the surgery?

what is the recovery like?

is it as strong as a regular tooth?

is it very painful?

do they knock you out for the procedure?

how much is it?

Tooth Implants?!?!?
Implants are great. The cost is great too, about $3,500 to 4,200 when it's all finished. The surgery is really not painful at all, x-rays will be taken so they can see the bone levels to make sure the titanium screw will hold then a temp crown will be placed by your dds and it takes about 4-6 months before you get you final implant. As far as strength, it's just as good as your real tooth. The screw is placed into the bone and the bone forms around the screw, very secure. The surgery is not long at all. The doctor we use at my office can do it in about 40 minutes and a pain reliever like motrin or advil is enough for pain, only moderate pain even less some patients say. You do not need to be knocked out, only novacaine is needed. Just do it, you will be so happy you did. Good luck and let me know how it turns out.
